This is the best deal in a study guide I have encountered. Most of the explanations are crystal clear. However, I did find myself puzzling over a few solved problems where I was having to guess an assumption. However, over all, and given the price, it is superior resource. It is easily as good or better than several vastly more expensive text books. In my limited experience, economists, with the exception of Bernanke, are not the best writers. (I need a cosmic interpreter to understand Greenspan.) Wessels' writing is clear and to the point with thoughtful examples.

This was a required text for a graduate level basic econ class and was incredibly helpful for me as I was reintroduced to basic economic theory. The "Know the Concepts" and "Practical Application" at the end of each chapter were useful and the questions were very similar to what my instructor covered during lectures. This is a must read for anyone considering studying business.
