What a fun read. Short but interesting. Identical twins, one runs away, the other takes her place at work and possibly with her lover.
Gotta read the next book to see if it goes anywhere.
Oh, she also learning to be an actress at the same time. Maybe she'll earn enough to pay the bills.
But if she doesn't come clean with her boss, she'll have to forge sister's name to cash the paycheck.

This book was a great read. It's amazing how things went from good to intriguing at the end. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I want to see how this pays out worth Leah pretending to be her sister and how she handles the boyfriend Edward and get love intrest, Matt. This is the first book that I have read of this author and so far so good.

Great engineering type of book.

Otteson did a great job of selecting the most common bolt actions out there and deconstruction them to find their strengths and weaknesses. He took the time to carefully draw many of the unique features (The drawings are not dimensioned unfortunately), and measure things like bolt lug area and spring pressures to give you real data to compare the different actions.

I wish that they would update this book with some of the newer offerings out there, but this book serves as a great baseline and should give you plenty of ideas if you're into building your own!

About the Author

Dean Hawkes, Emeritus Professor of Architectural Design at Cardiff University, is also visiting professor at the Departments of Architecture in the University of Huddersfield and Singapore and Honorary Professor at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art. In 2002 he was awarded the Leverhulme Emeritus Research Fellowship to study 'The Environmental Function of Architecture'. He has had several books published, including The Environmental Tradition: Studies in the architecture of environment and The Selective Environment: An approach to environmentally responsive architecture, both published by Routledge.

Excellent story! I read this book to my 5 year old daughter last week - now it's her new favorite possession! Even my older girls enjoyed it. A great family story written by a passionate mother. Ms. Mahalik wrote this story and also illustrated it all on her own. She is a talented creative writer that has written an enjoyable family story based on her professional and family experiences. This book can be read and enjoyed by everyone. My whole family has read it (kids, parents, aunts, uncles, etc.) and found it very entertaining.
